I'm compiling a set of works I've dubbed, 'Lessons from the Black Hole'. If you're a nerd like me, you know that everything a black hole coles in contact with gets absorbed into its gravitational field and gets absorbed inside the collapsed star. Torchwood: Miracle Day episodes 1 & 2 Review

Torchwood is no more... Or so we though after 'Children of Earth'....

The CIA knows about the British organization and for some reason, wants the remaining members, Jack & Gwen, gone.. There is a twist to the BBC Woldwide/Stars collaboration. Headed up by the team that brought you the 'DoctorWho spin off, Miracle Day has started with a bang!

The first episode brings you up to date on the remaining members, Capt. Jack Harkess(John Barrowman) and Gwen Cooper(Eve Myles) are alive and kicking. Gwen is a mom and living with Rhys(Kai Owen) in some place isolated in Wales. A CIA worker Esther Drummond (Alexa Havins of All My Children fame) is looking into Torchwood and while talking to a friend/ Coworker Rex Mathison (Mekhi Pfifer) is involved in a deadly impaling car accident.. and survives. Suddenly, everything related to Torchwood vanishes! A child murderer/molester, played by Bill Pullman, survives lethal injection. Soon reports from all over the world are coming in about people not dying. And this is just the first episode!

Second episode continues the fast pace and something truly inhuman is going on. As most of us know, Jack is immortal due to Rose using the time vortex in The Parting of Way in DoctorWho. But during this, he is completely mortal. A new twist on the familiar. Someone is trying to eradicate the team and anyone who has pulled up their information, but why? Murder attempts, espionage, set-ups, the walking but aging , living dead.. fine stuff! Meanwhile doctors from all over the world are trying to figure out what is biologically going on.

So far, Torchwood:Miracle Day is turning out to be one help of a ride! I'm going to stay tuned.. are you?

In this day and age, we rely on technology for practically everything. From work to our personal lives, we utilize technology.. but this is where I have a problem. Technology as a substitute for human communication. Take Facebook. I have people on my page who result to 'poking' me rather than send me a quick note or post on my wall. Hello!! If you poke me in real life, you're going to get the finger! Why assume poking me on a social media site would be any different? And my biggest pet peeve

Texting as sole communication!!

I'm a texter and I'm not ashamed.. but having a conversation via text annoys the hell out of me! You have my number but refuse to use it.. Now most cell plans, like mine, have unlimited calling plans with their data/text plans. So, if you tell someone you have such a plan, why are you NOT utilizing it?

It's absurd! That screams l a z y to me. I'll give you an example. A guy I know has text conversations with me. How many times he has called me in the last six months, I can count on my tiny hand. I asked, why do you text me more than call? He goes, " its easier for me to work that way." Work that way? Seriously? You working an angle? A big score? Wtf? Even the busiest of us mere humans pick up the phone to dial someone. Like the other day. He sends me a text saying 'what's up'. I reply, 'nothing. nothing at all.' Next thing I know, I get a phone call and some talk about his phone being messed up and him not getting any of his messages and he thought I was being mean and sarcastic with my reply..

Muahahaa!! Dude, if the only time you call is when I send a text you don't like, we don't need to communicate. I understand busy.. I do. But if you are too damn lazy to press a few buttons to make a call, you're just lazy period. People, texting is lovely and I don't dismiss the ease of it. My problem is using it as you MAIN FORM OF COMMUNICATION! Matter of fact, my new stance is this.. if you want to get to know me, call. If you want to carry on a convo or try to initiate a 'relationship' and all you do is text, lose my number. And the word is lose..not loose!

A Tale

Once was a woman who loved too deeply.
Her pain hidden by masks of security.
The lines from strain, the internal rage,
create the holes in her soul.

She attends the meetings with a vacant stare.
She cooks the meals in a robotic manner.
Her glare is steady, constant and cold.
Ritualistic in her manners and careful in her steps.
She laughs as if on cue. The lines already set.

One day this woman could take no more,
leaving a note by the kitchen door.
Fed up with the melancholy and lies she was told,
she flung herself forward, releasing the black hole in her soul.

From this tale of woe I tell to you, you never know what goes on behind closed blinds and pray its never you..

Losing Grip

Hanging from a wire overlooking the range.
Feet keep slipping on rocks near the grave.
I balance myself slowly,
keeping my head above the pile.
Bones all around me,
the wire unwinds.

Losing my grip,
Falling into decrepid coffins.
Sealing me out reality,
closing on my humanity.

Am I able to surface?
Am I able to rise again?

Locked shut from the outside,
banging out sound from the inside.
I can't breath the stagnant air.
I can't think..not aware..

Is it me or my environment?
Where are the friends I held so dear? Noone rallying for my salvation. I am lost & stuck here..

Truth In...

The truth is something when asked, if more often not given.
The half-truths, patronizing and deflecting, are well-crafted decietful tales.

I seek the truth in all things.

I seek truth in love. I have never been of simple thought.

I seek truth in the universe. But the universe hides his vast knowledge from me.

I seek truth in friendships. Ties we've tied. Phoney and fake I see.. people really shouldn't underestimate me.

When does the truth rear its head?

A wrong text in the middle of the night. Pacified tales to keep the anger out of sight. Unread & acknowledged thoughts.. smiles in faces and dogged out of sight.

Yes, the truth comes when we need it. It is given. You just need to see it to accept it.

Goodbye, Sarah Jane...

Friends, colleagues, and fans throughout the Whonivers are mourning the passing of Elisabeth Sladen. Best known to fans as companion Sarah Jane Smith, Elisabeth played one of the most memorable & beloved companions in the series. She was companion to incarnations 3&4 of The Doctor during the 70's and early 80's. Elisabeth reprised the role for Dimesions in Time & the revised series with David Tennant. Most recently, she was the title character in the CBBC series, The Sarah Jane Adventures.

As a fan, I am deeply saddeded by the news. Ms. Sladen was 63 and the BBC is reporting she was suffering from cancer. I will have a longer post & dedication to her later in the week.

My deepest symapthies & condolences go out to her husband & daughter, family, friends and those who had the pleasure of working with her.

Tumbling Down

This is something hard for me to admit so to the ones who still read this, thanks.
I had a breakdown two weeks straight. I hadn't had one in almost four years since my father passed. As I'm writing this, I'm in bed. The sun is shining and people are moving. I really don't want to see people. The first episode started last week. There are things happening in my life I won't mention here but, it all culmulated Thursday night. I'm putting myself out here, literally, so.. *sighs*I hadn't been back to the gym since returning from Texas earlier in the week. Clothes went and are still unpacked from what someone described as my 'gay army' luggage (it is camoflage with pink, green, black and white). Laundry needing to be done and unfortunately a broken washing machine was taking up space in my basement. These are tasks needed to be done and I didn't want to complete them.

The persona I give off to people is the opposite of what is the internal persona. This is for good reason. I was raised that we never talk about or mention what goes on in our private lives to those outside our door. If there are issues, fix them internally and go about your day. I do that. I do it everyday. I hide behind bubbly masses of smiles and friendliness when in actuality, id rather get out of there. Id rather not talk to you. But on some level, I am a 'people person' and I utilize that get by in life. I force myself to be outgoing because who would really believe a woman like me to suffer from depression?

I uttered it.. Depression. In the African-American community, there is no such word. You can argue me down and give me clinical & professional mumbo jumbo but, its true. They do not acknowledge it. My mom was like, "Oh, you're sad. Get over it!" When I had my last breakdown, I stayed in solitude for a week following my return from Tulsa. The next Thanksgiving, same thing. My door has a hole in it from when my 'loving' mother tried to force herself into the room.
Thanks! Covering up that hole was not an easy task...

I knew something was wrong with me at an early age. My mother was told to 'get me some psychological help' when I was in the 2nd grade. "My daughter doesn't need any shrink! She has me." Eh.. not much help you were lady. Your husband of four years just left you with two kids and a father recovering from Colon Cancer. So, that's when my morbid facinations began. 99% of the music I listened to were by deceased artist. I had no real friends. Heck, sometimes my cousins my age didn't like me. The funny thing was even with the rejection of my peers, I wanted to 'fit-in'. Gaining weight in the 5th grade didn't help much. Kids can be crule. So, I did thinks to keep people away, since they didn't want to voluntarily. I brought my diary to school and 'carelessly' left it on my desk. I started fights(sometimes I didn't) and developed a really snarky & nasty attitude (which, if you piss me off, I still have). Once I left that hell hole & moved to San Diego, I thought things would get better. I excelled even further in my studies(living in books does work) and made new friends.. until I was being bullied by a local gang girl. Then, my grandfather passed and I moved home.

High school, eh. I had just decided to be me. Goth girl, reject, semi-jock, floater, student council rep, singer, etc. I just did what made me happy. Lost 80lbs and then the rumours started. I was on crack, I was doing this & that and whatever nonsense they came up with. The fact was I got a job and the physicality of it made me drop weight. I had my crushes then too. The football players, baseball guys.. But, I was never asked out. Not the typical Black mutt beauty. I had mild breaks in school too. But, I just worked my way through them as I usually do. After high school, I tried pursuing the things I did as a kid(pre-weight gain). And kept my self away from getting into relationships because they had a tendency to go bad. It seemed like from 10 and up, everything went bad. Those things I won't discuss here and only a few, and I do mean a few, know of these things.

In my twenties, I 'blossomed' so to speak. Keeping my weight down and trying to have a life... till I got pregnant. I was sad the entire time. I had a friendship that ended badly, hit so hard I flew across a table because I didn't want to 'socialize' with drunk dope heads, having my roommate's bf hit on me because he liked cream and brown sugar...Being told certain things made me not want to carry him to full term. He wasn't born from mutual love.. More like one-sided and I found it out the hard way. After he was born, I picked myself up and began the process of trying to rebuild myself. With love, I fall hard. So, I made sure I didn't.. until someone popped in and then another break. The rejection was like a razor, slicing its way through my skin. I don't do rejection well. And truthfully, contrary to what people say, it is about you. After that, I didn't want to hear any utterance of love, couples, etc. I shut down. I shut down completely and went into automatic mode.

I still shut down but I switch focus. I live, breathe and walk with blinders on. Welcome to my world. Have a cuppa tea..

Spencer Bell Legacy- Austin, TX

This year will mark the second time that a Legacy show will be held outside of the grand state of Michigan! (if you arent aware of what SBL is, see below..)Put together by Gain To Give, this show will have returning The Stevedores, Chicago's own, Tin Tin Can, The Kissing Club, a hybrid of musical funkiness known as Mechanical People, and some newer bands on the line up as well. Not to mention, there is a special Friends of SBL at the beginning of the event!! This event, unlike the one held at Trees in Dallas last April, will be an all-day affair! Smashing, yes?!

I will be conducting interviews with people about Spencer's influence & legacy on them. Will make for an awesome finishing piece to my video! I'm excited! Spencer Bell was a talented musician and artist who died tragically of adrenal cancer at the age of 20 in 2006. The Spencer Bell Legacy was founded by his family and has become an effort to share his work with the world while raising awareness about Adrenal Cancer through annual concerts. Adrenal Cancer
Adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) is rare, but very deadly. This type of cancer develops in the outer layer, called the cortex, of the two small adrenal glands that sit on top of each kidney. About 600 new cases are diagnosed each year in the United States with nearly no chance of survival past five years for those diagnosed with advanced disease (stages 3/4).

Adults rarely have obvious symptoms, so they often are not diagnosed until the cancer is large and has spread to other parts of the body. Although adrenal cancer can be treated in adults, it usually comes back. Once it recurs, it is almost always fatal.

When you find out something disturbing, what do you do?

Do you crawl up inside yourself & block everyone out? Or do you carry on like a proud soldier; marching towards their doom? Do you lash out at any and anyone? Do you seek solace & comfort? Or do you seek destruction and revenge?

When you find out something that has an impact on your psyche, does it traumatize you?

I'm left without words as of late. The lies being told to me & the revelations brought to light have me question everything I was told. And I do mean everything. It changes all I knew and I feel lied to. I was inadvertendly lied to. Lead on in the dark by hands of whom I though absolute trust was place. Does this person know that I am aware? Nope. Am I now cold & heartless to this persons survival, absolutely.

I give everyone the same grain of trust starting out as I've mentioned before. Trust is sacred to me. It is a building block in any type of relationship. But when my trust is betrayed, I wipe you clean from my book. I will not speak to you again & never share things with you. My mum always said that, 'whats done in the dark, will come to light.' And in this case it has.

Why do I feel lied to, you may ask? Well, if one states to you their intent & is stating it to someone or some other bodies without telling you the real deal, is it not a lie? Doesn't it make everything spoken between parties a farce?

As for my involvement with this person, I'm waiting. Waiting to see if they decided to come clean & fess up. Waiting to see if they will be honest & open as they want me to be. But if what is there is based on a lie, then there was no trust to begin with. I have a tendency to read between the lines. So see what is actually there. And what I see is not pretty now. Looking back, I should've known..

Taken from one of my favourite Tori Amos songs. I feel like I'm silent. I let things happen to me & I don't speak about it.. I don't speak to it. Festering inside me & growing until I'm suffocated with it. And once it has consumed me, I lose all focus. I fall fast & noone knows this. Well, until now. But hey, who actually reads my dribble? I decided that this blog will be about me. Not some actors I've met, some band I enjoy, or some franchises.. Just me. Stripped bare-boned as I make my way through life & career. So, this is the beginning of a new age for the Reject's blog. I had something happen to me that threw me for a loop.

I fell in deep like. Like? Yes, like. I think the word love is misused & overly abused these days. You can love shoes, food, make-up, and of course people.. but like? Aah.. I met this guy and it was like I was slapped by the universe. In one week, everything changed. Walls were brought down & blinders ripped away. And then the monkey wrench happened & I'm sitting here feeling broken, used, hurt, and hollow. I feel gutted & I can't really explain how it occured. So now I'm in that space. That space where I don't care anymore & want things to end. I ask myself how? How did I let this go so far? There were many things in the way & possibly wouldn't have worked... But, I wanted to try. Shakespeare once wrote, 'it is better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all,' I disagree. It is better never to love & experience such despair than to love & die once love has left.

Spencer Bell Legacy Show Dallas 2010

Taken during the final song of the night, 'Thunderdome'

I attended the Spencer Bell Legacy show in Dallas last weekend and one word can only describe this event: FANTASTIC! Spencer Bell was a musician, artist & composer who at the tender age of 20 was struck down with Adrenal Cancer. The diagnosis came before Thanksgiving of 2006 and eleven days later on December 3rd, he was gone. Since his passing, his father, Bill Bell, has worked tirelessly in putting out his son's music posthumously and getting the word out about Adrenal Cancer, along with many friends of Spencer's. SpencerBellMemorial was created to show the world his legacy: the music. In Dallas last weekend, the music is what brought many from around the world to Dallas, Texas.

The bands playing the shows all had connections to Spencer and I learned by talking with several of them, had been influenced by him in many ways. Drew and the Medicinal Pen, The Stevedores, Tin Tin Can, The Kissing Club, 100Monkeys and Evro were the bands playing the momentous event! Dr. Hammer from the University of Michigan spoke and remarked on how one person has made a difference. Until this year, the only treatment for Adrenal Cancer was a variation of DDT. Now, there will be trials using a new drug to help fight this horrible disease.

Many of the bands covered some of Spencer's songs like Dandelions, Violin, The Monkey Song, Billie Jean, etc. I enjoyed every moment! I laughed, cried, and met some cool people! I think the most amazing moment for me was when Dr. Hammer was closing out his speech, the power went out! I don't mean just in Trees, but the whole downtown block of Dallas!! My friends and I thought, please don't shut this down! But it seemed Spencer shut the lights out to say, now what are you going to do! Jackson Rathbone appeared on stage and began to entertain us. Next thing the bands were coming out and grabbing anything non-electrical and began to play. Acoustic guitars, tambourines, xylophones, etc! It was beyond anything I ever witnessed! This black-out created the most epic jam/improv I had ever witnessed!

In a few of the videos, you can hear someone not on stage singing a hook of some sorts, "No power.." LOL! Wasn't she awesome?! Words cannot describe the feelings I had and experienced that night! I hated it was over, but come August, It's going to happen again! I want to thank Bill Bell, ASCCNow, Debbie, Teresa, Suzie, Kristin, and everyone I met that night who made the night memorable! And to the bands, you all were brilliantly magnificent!

Doctor Who: The Eleventh Hour Review

O....M.....G and... HAPPY EASTER!!

After six hours of waiting, I finally got my hands on the Series 5 premiere of Doctor Who and was I impressed!! Matt was amazing! Truthfully, I had my reservations on him being The Doctor. Following up David Tennant is a hard feat, but Matt did very well!

One of my favorite bits was the food spitting and tossing! I can never look at fish sticks and custard the same way!

"Can I have an Apple?" "Do I have a face no one listens to?" and "The Doctor will see you now!" "Nurse boy, gimme the phone!" "Not him, the good-looking one!" Some of my favourite lines!

Karen Gillan was feisty and has the makings for a great companion. I loved how she chewed him out for not only not coming back on time (5 minutes= 12 years ), but for coming back two years after the Prisoner Zero incident! I think Eleven needs better Time Management! LOL.

There were some classic Ten lines utters and it felt weird hearing Eleven utter them but again, he is still 'cooking', so there are bound to be some ramblings! Partrick Moore! HAHA! And the Doctor can open the TARDIS with a snap of his fingers! YEAH!!! The theme is something I have to get used to.. It's not as dark as I thought it would be. It reminds me when they went techno in the 80's. It is not bad, but it does takes some getting used to. The new opening, I like!! The touches of lightning are neat!!

Overall, I think it was a great start and sets the pace and tone for the rest of the series!

New Doctor Describes How Life Has Changed

Matt Smith, the Eleventh incarnation of The Doctor, sat down with What's On TV and talked about how being cast on Doctor Who has affected his life.

Matt's favourite thing about Doctor Who: "That’s a tough one. The TARDIS or the sonic screwdriver maybe. What is so thrilling about it as an actor is that every day is unlike anything else.. It is such a thrill every morning, you never quite know how the day is going to go, but in terms of his world I think my favourite thing is his brain. I like being able to get into the head the cleverest man in the universe, which he is."
On life-changing: "Yes, your daily life changes significantly, if you go into Tesco it is not quite the same as going into Tesco a year before. (Disclaimer: Due to some recent fan events at 100Monkey shows, I had to revise this list.. These people give REAL fans a bad image and it is pathetic! There have been numerous post/tweets/ comments on various networking sites and thanks to the ignorance of a few, you, my darlings are receiving new commandments!The original post(created May 2009) is still available on the blog!)

EPIC FAIL!!!

You know its bad when Capt. Jean-Luc Picard hides his head in disappointment..

This post was born because of ALL the EPIC FAILS and 2nd hand embarrassments (UC and Moon :D)I have seen via You Tube, Twitter, Concerts and other blogs regarding Twilight conventions, 100Monkey shows and dammit EVERY BLOODY FAN ENCOUNTER!!

Enough is enough PEOPLE!
So I have compiled a list of What NOT to do at these events!
Heed the knowledge I present to you...

Do NOT jump on stage during the band's performance to do some crazy stunt you just 'happened' to come up with in the spur of the moment! You might think it is a great idea and might have been for some strange or good reason, but you have now just frightened Jackson, pissed off the Bens and incurred the wrath of all the fans in attendance and those watching your behind on YouTube!
Do not yell and scream at band members from the street below up to their second story window!(Yes you Chicago nut job!)
Do NOT run across the street acting like a deranged banshee when Jackson is spotted on the opposite side! Not only do you look like a raging lunatic, but this makes him retreat.. (same Chicago nutter)
No home made canvas bags with pics (I'm all for creativity..but this reminds me of the Pattinson Pants..again..DONT' DO IT!!)
No monkey hats (unless you are under 14)
No screaming out baby proposals.. (this goes for you too 6ft Amazon pit woman!)
NO SAYING HOW MUCH THE BAND SUCKS in PUBLIC(opinions entitled and dully noted..yes..but save it for your blog...)
If you are a band opening up for another band, save your comments for another day.. When noone associated with the guys can HEAR YOU!!!
No screaming out JASPER! (seriously.....)
No stuffed giant monkeys (yes you girl..This isn't Great America/DisneyLand/Magic Mountain..etc)
No going up to Marty and flirting with him just to get to the guys (I will CUT ya for that!)
If they reek of weed, Don't tell.. Jeepers. (You want someone telling your sordid details??)
If you are at the bar and they're there, do not push your humongous tatas in their face..
Do dress appropriately!(this means no bloody mini-dresses with flip flops!) You're going to a show, not a hoochie convention!!
No Twilight-inspired permanent works of body art...(no Bella tattoos, Rob signatures, etc.) And if you have it..WE don't wanna see it..
No being rude to regular people.. Karma is a BITCH and a dirty one to boot!
No screaming 'I love you Jackson!' or anything along those lines, in the middle of anyone singing!! I don't want to hear your vocals killing what's left of my hearing!! Not to mention, its RUDE!!
No flirting in hopes of scoring! (You know who you dirty skanks are...)
Be respectful to ALL in attendance. I know there is bad blood in the Monkey Faniverse, but seriously, Don't bring it to the shows! We all love the guys and we go see them, make spur of the moment trips, max out cards because we love them!! Not to go be evil towards eachother.
If you know you are on the plus side..Do not..I REPEAT do not wear anything that makes you resemble Shamu's cousin..sister..bro...(Watch What Not To Wear..srsly!!)
Do not wear the clothes you take out the trash, wash your car, sleep in, etc. at a show..
Do not look homeless.....
Do not jizz on yourself when in verbal distance or close proximity of the guys.. *shudders* They have bathrooms for that!
Do not yell "JACKSON!" in the middle of a street! It induces a fan riot (this means you TwilighterFAIL chick from that weekend on the East Coast...)
Do take advantage of free drinks *winks*

Do not come dressed like a hobo on free lunch day..SRSLY! LAMESPICE! I know your parents taught you better....

Do avoid all Twi-hards aka die hard Twilighters...(you will know them by their sparkly arms, dazed glossy eyes, and their Twilight merch...{to my Twi friends.. sorry lol})
Do not go to a show just cause its JASPER! grrr *rolls eyes*
Do let the guys know you are appreciative and they have a unique sound..Basically compliment them if ya like the sound..If not..shaddap! :D
Don't tell J he looks like your ex in order to score lol
Do remember if ya have big boobs to wash em and powder them up! No guy likes foul tits
Do wash your arse before said events (SRSLY! I don't like smelling foulness...Not in the age of soap and running water!! ICK!!)
Do not wear your TWILIGHT merch to a show..(again..we know you have spent all your loot on this but they can't sign it all!!!! And secondly, at a show.. GET REAL! )
Don't complain about guys sweating when they are stuck in a room with over 100 other people and there is not a ventilation system in sight...
Avoid all overgrown teenyboppers with hairy pits..(funkspice..ICK!)
Do buy the guys a round if your ballin' like that.. (if not make sure its open bar night :D)
Don't ask J about Rob, Kstew, Taylor, Ash or anyone from the movie..*rolls eyes* If you are there to see the band..SEE THE BAND! grrr...
Do realize that J and Jasper are two different people..one is real...one is FICTION!
No unauthorized mauling or groping...
Listen to the music before you go to the show.. That way, if it sucks, you don't have to waste money!
Be respectful! SRSLY!
Don't ask the same LAME question over and over and..you get my drift! How would you like it if someone asked you 1000 times, "so, did you read the book before you got the role as so and so?"
Don't ask any super duper personal questions..Cause you won't get actual replies!
You can ask about upcoming projects! Us actors/musicians LOVE that stuff :D
No bite me request! EVER!!
Do Not mention you read a fan fic written about them and you want to re-enact a scene*coughs* from it...
Do ask for items from the band that are easily replaced, like the 100monkeys glasses. (I personally got Jerad's glasses at the St. Louis show just by asking POLITELY! :)
Do NOT ask to pose with the actors like in the adverts for the film..*shudders* * facepalm to the dome!!*
Do not convince yourself or them that you are their one true love by stalking their every move..Stealing their plates, retrieving burned out cig butts, following them to the bathroom..Taking personal objects off their person....
(I cannot stress this enough!!) Do not FOLLOW the guys or girls into the bathroom and STEAL their articles of clothing, tissues, etc..
Do not leave ridiculous freaky post on their websites, fan pages, etc..You will get BLOCKED by the admins..(you know who you are..)
Remember, they are human too. The fart and pee just like everyone else..

If you follow my simple rules, and use a bit of common sense you can avoid being a 2nd hand embarrassment and a crazed nutter :D

Doctor Who Movie Rumours

Ever since David Tennant passed the torch over to Matt Smith as The Doctor, rumours upon rumours have been floating around about a Doctor Who movie being in production. And guess which incarnation of The Doctor they want on the big screen.... The Daily Express has an article up regarding such rumours.. And they quote Billie Piper (Rose)!

In a radio interview, Piper was quoted as saying, "I’ve heard they’re doing a film and I know they want David to do it. I think David’s slightly anxious that there’ll be some big American producers on board and that they’ll try to hijack the whole thing and cast someone like Johnny Depp.”

Bill Nighty on Doctor Who

One of my favorite veteran actors, Bill Nighy will be on a Series 5 episode of Doctor Who!
According to Digital Spy, Nighy will play a curator of a Vincent Van Gogh exhibit. Playing Van Gogh in the episode is Tony Curran. The episode will take place in present day and 19th century France. This episode will be number ten in the series.

BBC will not comment on the casting or storylines. Guess we have to just wait and see..

Torchwood on U.S. Soil?

That's right!

You heard me. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Fox is working with BBC Worldwide to produce U.S. version of the BBC Sci-Fi hit, Torchwood. Along for the ride are creators & executive producers of the original series, Russell T. Davies and Julie Gardner. Also rumoured is an 'Americanized' Doctor Who. *groans*

Personally, I think an American Torchwood might work,(note i said MIGHT).

Why it would work:

1. Russell T. Davies & Julie Gardner. They have a proven track record of successful programs that have reached American audiences.
2. Casting. If John Barrowman and new mom Eve Myles are on board. The two have a genuine on-screen chemistry that works! But I would also love some new blood infused. Or maybe an appearance of Martha Jones and Mickey Smith.
3. Established Fan Base: There is an audience already established with the series. This was evident at the Sand Diego Comic-con in 2009.
4. Freshness: It is a relatively new series.
5. Story-line expansion: There are more chances for more non-Britain/Cardiff,Wales stories.

Why it would not work:

1. Decreased sexuality: Now unless this show is on cable/ satellite, the sexuality of Capt. Jack Harkness will be diminished greatly; as American television is quite conservative.
2. Russell T. Davies (I know): This comes in because of his noted comments when he killed off fan favorite Ianto Jones during Torchwood: Children of Earth.
3. Risk of being 'sanitized & dumbed down' for American TV: This irks me because I love smart dramas and to dumb down a program that is witty, intelligent and works in the original format is a disservice to fans world wide.
4. Continuity: As we all know, Torchwood is a spin-off & anagram of Doctor Who. Torchwood is based in the UK. Citing the history of the founding of Torchwood, this might make it difficult to explain why a British underground agency has offices in the U.S. Unless the come up with some mumbo-jumbo about it being a world-wide organization or ties to the F.B.I. or C.I.A. Which is probably likely to occur.
5. Story-Line Issues: Most Americans have no clue what Doctor Who or Torchwood is (those people are either television recluse, have no cable/satellite, or never watched PBS in the 80's). This means that there might have to be a visual history lesson for non-viewers by way of showing the original series; which might complicate viewers little brains.

Now on to the nonsense of an 'American' Doctor Who. (Williams Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Verity Lambert, Jon Pertwee, Sydney Newman, Barry Letts, and my dad are pitching a hissy fit!) Listen up! The series as it is is just fine! We do not need a copy or an 'Americanized' version! Don't be daft! It's like messing with a formula that has worked for years. It will diminish the originality, history, and legacy that the show has created in its nearly fifty-year history! I grew up watching the classic series and now the revised one and I feel that would be a huge mistake- not not only for television, but the fans!

No More Doctor Who For Bille Piper

In an interview with Digital Spy, Billie Piper (Doctor Who,Secret Diary of a Call Girl) stated that she will not be returning to the blue box. As we all know, Rose was left in an alternate universe with Human Clone Doctor at the end of Journey's End. Billie told the interviewer that she has no intention of portraying Rose Tyler with Eleventh Incarnation, Matt Smith.

"I think it's done now, isn't it? I think that ship has sailed. That old, wooden ship-I really loved doing it, but Doctor Who has moved on – it's different people, different crew, different production team and I can't keep going back. It's ridiculous! It's time to move on…"

She also stated that she was upset that David Tennant decided to leave the show and thinks that Matt Smith will be great in the role. Billie also mentioned that at the time of the interview, she had not seen David's final scenes.

How To Get Over Ten

After Doctor Who: The End Of Time part one & two aired, I posed a question via my Twitter account asking fans, "How Do You Get Over Losing Ten?" Reason being is that David Tennant's turn as the Tenth Doctor is deemed the best incarnation of the beloved character; beating out perennial favorite Tom Baker! Personally, David is on my list in this order:

Tom Baker ( The Scarf.. Nuff said!)
David Tennant (Geek chic ala Scottish Bloke!)
Peter Davidson (Cricket anyone?)
Jon Pertwee (He might have been a dandy, but the man was awesome!)
Paul McGann (Seriously. He was the best thing out of that 1996 movie!!)
Patrick Troughton (Mad clown!)

As most of us sat on our beds, chairs, sofas, etc. crying watching Ten leaves before our eyes (yeah, I cried and I know you did as well!) it was an emotional night. There was something David brought to the role that made us feel for Ten deeply like no other Doctor before him; even though we knew for over a year David decided not to stay.. *sniffs* For some people, this was their first Doctor. But for others, like myself, we had seen the character regenerate before. I must say that this regeneration was massive and completely topped any previous regeneration!

The responses to my question was hilarious! So, I have compiled the list here :)

Watch Series 2, 3 & 4 over and over until all dialogue is memorized and David's English & Scottish accents are perfected!
Read Doctor Who Fan Fics and imagine yourself in the TARDIS with Ten, after dropping Rose in a wormhole!
Watching fan videos on YouTube.
Making several fan videos and posting them on all Whovian fan sites!
Avoid reality by not watching The End Of Time parts one & two and repeating, "Ten did not regenerate!" over and over.
Pray the new writers are fans of the old Who's "The Five Doctors", "The Three Doctors" etc., so that Ten makes an appearance during Matt Smith's tenure.
Talking to other geeks/nerds for Ten Therapy Sessions.
Look forward to all the other things David will do.
Eat ice cream and watch Doctor Who box-sets.
Join YouTube Tenth Doctor tribute video contest.
Call up a friend and sob about Tens good old days.
Stalk David Tennant and beg him to go back to Doctor Who.
Stalk Steven Moffat and beg him to have Matt Smith regenerate into Ten again (wibbly wobbly, timey, wimey..)

David Tennant Pilot Delayed??

David Tennant's foray into American TV might be delayed.. Until fall. Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello is saying that the pilot, 'Rex Is Not Your Lawyer', was up for consideration to air in the Spring; as one of the empty slot-fillers left open by Jay Leno going back to late-night.

A source at NBC told Ausiello that 'Rex' is still up for consideration for fall stating that, "“The sets are on fold-and-hold. They will still be available if the show is picked up for the fall.”

This means that we might be waiting a while for Tennant to grace our American screens! Well, at least we have re-runs of Doctor Who on PBS and our DVDs. What pisses me off about NBC is that they make poor decisions in regards to their programming. Tennant has an established fan-base in American due to his tenure as the Tenth Doctor on Doctor Who, and for NBC not to capitalize on this is poor judgment.

Seriously, NBC, don't you think you have made too many screw ups recently??

Last Night, Conan O'Brien gave a very heartwarming speech on his last show. He was classy and you could tell he was choked up!

And here's the second part of the farewell! Conan plays guitar alongside Beck, Will Ferrell, Billy Gibbons, Max Weinberg, Ben Harper and the Tonight Show Band. The song is 'FreeBird' by Lynyrd Skynyrd.. One of my fave songs of ALL TIME!! And look at Conan go!!

The Ratings Are In For The End Of Time Parts One and Two!

Just as the headline of this entry says!

BBC America has put out the numbers for Doctor Who: The End of Time part two, which featured David Tennant's character, The Doctor, regenerating into Eleventh incarnation Matt Smith, drew in the network's biggest ratings! The initial broadcast of TEOT part two, averaged over a million viewers (1.015 million myself included) on BBC America! Part two did better than Part one that aired a week before with 671,000 viewers. It also did better than the Waters of Mars episode, which averaged 803,000.

The re-broadcast from 11:30 pm to 1 am averaged 224,000 and 2:30 am to 4 am added 96,000 views! This totals up to over 1.4 million viewers with the three airings!

This should tell BBC One and BBC America something!

'Rex' Update

As most know, David Tennant was filming a television pilot for NBC called, 'Rex Is Not Your Lawyer' (Rex), before Christmas. Well, the pilot is DONE and it will be screened tomorrow (jumps up and down in a tizzy fit). The premise of the show is that Rex is a Chicago lawyer who has panic attacks that prevent him from defending his clients in court. So what happens is that the clients end up representing themselves; with his assistance of course.

Let us all send out positive vibes and such so that NBC picks up the series; cause we all know that besides late night and Biggest Loser, they really don't have jack squat! Not to mention their ratings are low! Plus, if they do anything like they did with ER, Chicago might get some screen time:) *giddy smile* YEah us out of work actors in Chicago need some jobs! lol

Ok.. As far as I'm concerned, the next season (series) of Doctor Who will be called Series 5! I am not calling it Series one, Season 37, yada..yada..yada.. I know there is a new man taking over, but really people! It's all canon! As we all know, Ten (David Tennant) had regenerated into his Eleventh incarnation (Matt Smith). The BBC has released a promo pic of Matt. See Below..

He does have a weird chin and he reminds me of Doctor number two, Partick Troughton, in his costume. I was never a fan of bow ties.. But, as I've stated before, I'm going to watch to see what he does.. Although no on can replace Ten, there is room in my Whovian heart for others :D

Doctor Who: End Of Time Part 1 & 2 Full Review

Ah. Such sad last words from such an amazing character. I waited long enough to write my review of the Doctor Who Special: The End of Time. I wanted to watch both episodes so that I could present a well-rounded, unbiased review. Part one aired on December 26th & and part two aired here in the U.S. on the 2nd of January on BBC America. I do give kudos to the Beeb for making the episodes available quickly instead of making us wait forever. Although, there was too much of a gap with the other specials. I actually saw the episodes the same day as those in the UK did. But, I wanted to watch them on BBC America when they aired. This post will contain bits from the episodes and some dialogue. I really hope you have watched them!

As most know, I am a long-time fan of Doctor Who and a huge fan of David Tennant (Casanova, Recovery, Secret Smile, Blackpool, Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire baby!). These episodes, written by Russell T. Davies, actually stood up to my expectations of Ten's ending. although there were some things that, in my opinion, should have been either left out or more explanation given. Like Rassilon. Was he resurrected to fight with the Time Lords in the Time War? Because according to The Five Doctors special, he was dead, but his consciousness was alive. (Go get that special! it's on DVD!) And why on God's green does The Master look like some DC comics reject or a Sith Lord replica? And When did Martha and Mickey get married? Ugh! lol

Part One

Wilf Mott walks into a church and stares at a glass mural. He sees the TARDIS engraved at the bottom of the mural. A lady in white appears to him and tells him the story of that mural. HE replies to her and turns around but, she disappears.

The Doctor arrives on the Ood home planet looking a bit refreshed. Wearing a lei and a straw hat, he recounts his solo adventures through time; naming a planet Allison, marrying Queen Elizabeth II (hence why she was angry with him in S3's episode, The Shakespeare Code), and some other stuff. Ood Sigma tells him he shouldn't have delayed. The Doctor locks the TARDIS like a car and proceeds on with Ood Sigma. He is impressed but taken aback by how the Ood have been able to reach him telepathically and have evolved in only 100 years. The Ood Elders show The Doctor what has been happening and he runs off back to the TARDIS.

Meanwhile back on Earth, Lucy Saxton is released from her holding cell. She is brought to a place in the prison's cellar by guards. Here is where I got a little confused. These Books of Saxton? What the blimey hell? He had a cult? Yeah ok RTD... The new warden and her followers are trying to bring The Master back from the dead. But Lucy has a potion to stop the resurrection. She tosses it in and the whole place explodes.

In the meantime, The Doctor is too late. He arrives after the place exploded. It seems to be a theme here. He arrives too late and the events that will bring him to his demise are happening fast.

Wilf (Bernard Cribbins) and the Silver Cloak get together to find The Doctor. Yay old people!!

(although I applaud RTD for acknowledging the US election of President Obama, I felt that talking about him ending the economic recession through out the episode; was a bit much. the man is NOT the Messiah!)

Flash to a junk/salvage yard somewhere in London, The Master sucks the life out of two people running a driving food cart. He then sits down by two people eating and he begins to talk like a crazy person. His skull flashes blue through his skin and it frightens the two men. They run off, but he catches up with them and they become his next meal.. "Dinnertiiiime!"

Meanwhile, The Doctor tracks The Master's scent (bloodhounds..) to the salvage yard and The Master bangs four times on a steel drum; imitating the sound in his head. The Doctor begins to chase after him through the yard. He comes within 100 yards of him and The Master lets out this thunderous yell. They face each other and The Doctor offers his help to him. The Master runs off and The Silver Cloak (yay old people!) corner The Doctor near the shipping yard.

Minnie the Menace, played excellently by June Whitfield (Absolutely Fabulous), gropes his bum. Oh to be her hand.. She was the envy us all fan girls that shoot.

The Doctor and Wilf are dropped off at a cafe' in London and hence begins one of the most poignant and sad scenes from part one. I have included my favorite lines from that scene.

"I'm going to die."

"Yeah, well so am I one day."

"Don't you dare!"

"Alright, I'll try not to!"

"....Even if I change, it feels like dying. Everything I am dies. Some new man goes sauntering away and I'm dead."

This part had me all misty-eyed. David really knows how to bring the emotion. And Mr. Cribbins was splendid as well. They play off each other very well.

Then there is this lovely commentary by Timothy Dalton (squeals!!) and then the revelation of who is speaking! Yeah, I squealed.

The Doctor and The Master are back in the yard and a sort of Time/Sith Lord exchange begins. The Doctor being electrocuted by The Master and then him coming towards the Doctor and discussing a childhood memory. The Master keeps stating he is so hungry & the Doctor tells him what happened (well us). Then he goes into a tirade about food at Christmas. That part made me nauseated..

The Doctor tries to tell him about the Ood prophesy, but he isn't listening. We hear the tap tap tap tap in the background. This is the sound coming from his head. He then tells The Doctor to listen to his head. He hears the noise and asks, "what's inside your head?"
At that point, The Sith Master exclaims, "It's REAL!" and flies off (I guess resurrected Time Lords can fly with electricity) and states something is calling him. Just then, a helicopter comes down and people jump out and kidnap The Master. The Doctor is knocked out and left in the yard.

We see Wilf and Donna (Doctor Donna) in the kitchen and Wilf asks Donna about the book. She says she felt it was something she should have. The Doctor Donna trying to get out! I hated that they made her like that. She was brilliant! They begin to gather around the television and the lady in white talks to Wilf again. She tells him don't mention any of this to The Doctor.. (why so secretive lady?) Meanwhile, The Master is at the Naismith mansion in a BDSM chair. I still do not get who the flying heck Naismith was. I guess some rich over-indulgent turd who has some type of weird relationship with his daughter..eww! Did not think RTD was a Flowers In The Attic fan...

Wilf and The Doctor meet up outside the house and The Doctor tries to piece the events together. He tells Wilf he is the only link he can think of. Just then Sylvia comes outside and sees her dad and The Doctor talking. They all know he cannot be seen or heard by Donna, because if she remembers, her brain will burn like eggs in a frying pan! The Doctor and Wilf head to the TARDIS , with Sylvia yelling behind them. As soon as they disappear, Donna comes out and sees her mother yelling at 'thin air'.

In the TARDIS, Wilf is stumped. Yes, it's bigger on the inside...

"I thought it would be cleaner?"

Back at the Flowers In The Attic mansion, Naismith, his creepy daughter, and a bound Master are in the presence of the Immortality Gate; once held by Torchwood. Two of the scientist disappear below. Come to find out, they are spikey green aliens in disguise.
"I like you.. You taste great!" Is he less filling too?

Naismith then has some food set out for The Master. He then completely annihilates the turkey down to the bones! Naismith then talks about his plan for the Immortality Gate and how 'Saxton' is part of the plan. The Doctor and Wilf head into the tunnels and come across one of the scientist below.

"Shimmer!"

"Oh my Lord, she's a cactus!"

The Master gets the gate fully operational and he is then bound in a straight jacket. Below, The Doctor de-shimmers the other scientist and asks what 'Skeletor' is doing upstairs. Come to find out that the green spikey cactus people are Vinvocci. They then tell him that the device is used to mend whole planets and then he realizes what The Master's plan is.

Or does he? The plan?
To make the human race extinct!

Lots of dialogue ensues and The President of the US comes on screen about to discuss a 'radical solution' and then The Master jumps into the Gate. Then every human on the planet starts to see him in their heads. Donna calls Wilf and tells him that her fiancee and Sylvia are acting strange. Next thing you know, every one turns into The Master. Donna starts to remember the events of her time with The Doctor and her head begins to hurt.

Timothy Dalton begins to speak and then the scene cuts to him and the TimeLords.

"For Victory! For Gallifrey! For the end of time its self!"

Part Two

Part two opens with the Time Lords on Gallifrey during the Time War. The cistern is broken in several places and smoke is rising into the orange sky. They speak of The Doctor having the moment and will use it to end the Daleks and Time Lords. They are devising a way to save themselves from their extinction. They also talk about a prophesy and how The Master, The Doctor and Earth are involved.

"I will not die!! Do you hear me?"

The Doctor is tied up to some sort of BDSM/dentist chair and Wilf is bound in ropes. The Master begins to make war with the rest of the universe. He also is berating him and demanding to know where the TARDIS is. Donna calls and she begins being chased by Master clones. Then this gold beam of light radiates from her head and knocks the clones out; then she passes out herself. (boooo!!). So basically, every time she sees aliens, she's going to shoot beams from her head and pass out. What BS!! lol

The Master then begins to talk about his childhood on Gallifrey and the initiation by looking into the Time Vortex. A flash back to Gallifrey has the Time Lords discussing The Master and his insanity. We then find out that the rhythm of four is the heartbeat of a Time Lord. The Master talks about the prophesy that The Doctor was discussing. He instantly thinks its about him and then he asks again about his ship.

The Doctor calls him bone dead stupid because the guard is an inch taller than everyone else.

"God bless the cactuses!"

"That's cacti!"

"That's racist!"

"Worst. Rescue. Ever!" One of my favorite lines from part two that I am getting on a t-shirt. This was uttered as The Doctor is being carried off to the Vinvocci salvage ship. Although he wanted them to take him back to his ship. The female Vinvocci transports them to their ship above the Earth.

On the salvage ship, The Doctor and Wilf have another deep conversation. Wilf cries and pleads with him to take the gun and protect himself. The Master puts out a transmission about something that was found.. A white-point star. This star is supposedly only found on one planet alone.. Gallifrey. He then takes the gun from Wilf and then hi-jinks ensue. We then find out that the Time Lords changed and became evil. So, in the prophesy, the 'it' was Gallifrey and they are trying to save themselves from the Time Lock and death.

The flight/fight scenes were interesting to me. And I will leave it at that that. Him jumping out the plane with the old school revolver in his had made me think John Wayne meets James Bond. He crashed through the glass dome and hit the ground hard! I wanted to grab a first-aid kit and get the glass out of his skin. So there is The Doctor, standing in the middle of prophesy and self-preservation- Rassilon on one end, The Master on the other. Pert and erect, he rises up and points the gun back and forth between the two Time Lords.

The Doctor looks over to his right and the woman in the weeping angels pose shows her face. It's his mother! (Yes! It was confirmed by Julie Gardner) The tears slowly stream down her face as he looks at her. She locked eyes with him and showed him (with eye gestures) what to do. He turns around to face The Master again and tells him to, "Move out the way." A shot is fired and the white diamond and the machine are blown away; disabling the link to the Time Lords and closing the connection and sending them back into the Time Lock. The Doctor stands there waiting for Rassilon to kill him with the glove when the Master appears behind him and says, "Get out the way." With those Sith/DC/Marvel comic powers he got in the botched resurrection, he sends that energy directly at Rassilon. They both disappear into the bright white light. Goodbye evil. Farewell Gallifrey.

The Doctor wakes up after The Master and The Time Lords have disappeared. He is happy that he is alive, but it is short-lived.

knock knock knock knock

The Doctor turns around with one of the saddest facial expressions and looks at Wilf stuck inside the chamber. The sheer realization that Wilf would be the cause of Ten's death resonated from the screen.

David plays these moments well with the forlornness and anger expressed in his speech and face. He rants, rages, and cries on about his unfair fate. "I could do so much more!" he exclaims as papers and other things fly off the table. There is even saliva coming out of his mouth. Thank God it wasn't the spit shower we received from Timothy Dalton in Part one. Wilf got into that precarious predicament by saving the life of another human being and in turn was himself stuck. Wilf begged him to just leave him inside. "I'm an old man. Just leave me," Wilf pleads. "Sometimes, a Time Lord lives too long.." But of course The Doctor couldn't. "It would be my honor.", he said. So he entered the chamber and absorbed the severe radiation that was emitted once Wilf stepped out the door. This was the second scene that brought me to tears. The doctor in pain and cowering on the floor. The emotional music and David rolled in a ball, covering his head just made me think he was going to die there.

It was what he does every time: save the world. An insignificant life some might think. Why would he save Wilf? He could have been very selfish and left him there to die; but he had enough of other's deaths weighing in on his conscious. Two reasons: One, because Wilf is Donna's grandfather and is someone dearly important to her. Two, because every life is important. The Doctor knew that. He loves the human race. They could be thick-headed & daft at times, but they can also be strong, bold, creative, powerful, and overcome anything. Remember in 'Silence In The Library' when River Song said that when the Doctor is around, everybody lives. Everybody lives, including those with no meaningful destiny. But Wilf did have a destiny, unbeknown to him, The Doctor and Donna. Which reminds me of Turn Left, The Stolen Earth and Journey's End. How one person could be the most important person in all of creation.

Unfortunately, Wilf's role was to cause Ten to regenerate. :(

Out of the chamber, the subtle effects of the regeneration begin to show. "It's starting," The Doctor says.

The doctor leave Wilf and goes to "get his reward". He travels in time to see his companions in their time-lines. First to Martha and Mickey who were being chased by a Sontaran, & have apparently gotten married. He takes out the Sontaran and just stands there with a solemn and focused, yet stern look. It is then they realize that this will be the last time they see him in that incarnation. He visits Jack Harkness in an extraterrestrial bar and plays matchmaker. As some know, Jack recently lost Ianto and his grandson during the 'Children of Earth' debacle on Torchwood; so I'm guessing he was drowning out his sadness. They salute each other and he walks off. Then Jack begins to make conversation with Alonzo (Allons-y!).

He saves Luke from being hit by a car. Luke recognizes him and calls for his mom, Sarah Jane. She runs out and sees The Doctor heading inside the TARDIS. He turns around and just looks at her, then enters. The camera cuts to Sarah Jane and the realization that this version is gone shows clearly on her face. She has seen him regenerate before, so she knew..

The next stop is Donna's wedding. Remember, Wilf stated that she and the Temple guy were getting married in the Spring. The Doctor shows up at the wedding, but stays in the back. Sylvia notices him standing behind the graveyard and nudges her dad. They look over and proceed to walk towards The Doctor. Wilf tells him (and us) about what happened to Naismith and his co-horts & asks him about the woman and he doesn't reply, but looks at Sylvia and then at Donna. The Doctor hands Wilf a envelope with a lottery ticket inside. It is a gift to Donna (aw BFF love). He states that he doesn't carry cash and borrowed a quid ( dollar in GBP) from a lovely man, Jeffrey Noble. Sylvia realizes that he was talking about her husband.

Wilf salutes him and he walks back to the TARDIS. Wilf begins to cry knowing he will never see the Doctor again and that he was the cause.

The last stop is New Years 2005. He went back to see Rose. Well, the Rose Nine met later that year. Hiding in the shadows, he strikes up a small conversation with her. He tells her you're going to have a great year. I'm glad they let him go see her. We know he can't cross dimensions to see her and his meta-crisis clone. :(

She leaves and he braces himself against the brick wall as he stumbles back to the TARDIS. Falling in the snow, he looks up to see Ood Sigma standing there. "We will sing to you, Doctor. The universe will sing you to sleep." The music in these final scenes just reach deep into your emotional cortex. The realization that this is it just makes watching it harder, but you cannot look away.

And then it begins. Like a child I began crying. It wasn't him regenerating, it was David's expression that made me weep like I was a child again watching Peter Davidson turn into Colin Baker. The TARDIS was exploding and on fire!

Due to the radiation and Ten not wanting to leave, this cause the extreme regeneration and the explosions...

RTD made David go out with a BANG! Then Ten just lets the regeneration take its course and he morphs into Eleven (Matt Smith). And with his arrival, the ship crashes back to Earth..

"This song is ending, but the story never ends."

So, there you have it. In my opinion, both episodes are a 8.5 out of 10. Mostly due to David's acting. While I like RTD's writing, I felt that some things should have been left on the writing floor. I will miss Ten. He was funny, serious, and caring. We shall see come Spring who Matt Smith chooses to make Eleven..

The Tenth Doctor Travels Back In Time to his Eight Year Old Self for Specials DVD

In a suburban house in Paisley a wee boy was sticky-taping the leg of his oft-snapped spectacles back together. He couldn't remember a time when they hadn't been augmented with at least one ara of peeling sellotape. Suddenly and quite without warning there was a rupture in the fabric of space and time and a tall, skinny man tumbled through a wormhole in the middle of the living room and landed in a puddle of brown coat at the boy's feet.

"Who are you?" asked the boy. Confused and a little scared, but mostly loving it. "Oh- ah, hello. It's you! I'm you...You're ..me" "Eh? the boy asked.

(Try as she might the boy's mother could not get him to say "Pardon") "I'm you. In the future. I'm thirty-eight years old" Because he was eight the boy accepted this quite quickly. "Is that my coat then? Can I try it on?" "No, no, no -" Interrupted the skinny man slightly disappointed his time travelling was being greeted with so little wonderment. "This is my costume. These clothes are The Doctor's. In thirty years time you get to play The Doctor. What do you think of that?!" "Tom Baker leaves!" the boy boggled. "Well.. Yes, eventually.." "And then I take over?" "Not quite, no, there's a bit of time in between but.." "And that's what The Doctor wears?" "Yes. Yes it is"

The boy took a moment to give his full attention. "I prefer the scarf" The skinny man looked a little crushed. "But this is really cool. People write about this outfit in newspapers and style magazines. This is geek chic!.. But actually you're right; people never really get over the scarf." "are the monsters good?" The boy asked. "Oh there are some great ones. And you get to fight the Daleks, and the Cyberman -" "- and the Zygons?!!" "Erm, no, no not the Zygons. But loads of other ones that you'll love. And guess what.. Sarah comes back! and K-9!" "K-9 leaves too!! " the boy groaned.

"Well, yes but he comes back - with you. And there are loads of great companions. Some of them aren't even born yet - but they're just brilliant! And you won't belive this, but you know Bernard Cribbins from 'The Wombles?" "- and 'Jackanory' -" "- and 'Jackanory', yes. Well he's in it too. You get to do all sorts of scenes with him." "That's amazing!" "It is." "Why do I have to wait so long?" asked the boy. "Eh? I mean, pardon?" "You're really old." "I don't think -- well - not so - it's all relative." The skinny man protested. "And how come your hair's all dark?" the wee boy asked.

"That just happens..round about twelve I think." The skinny man regarded his younger self. "Look there's quite a bit of stuff to get through first but hang in there. It's worth it. I promise. I can't tell you how much you'll love it." "Really? Do I really get to be The Doctor?" "You do. And listen - you are going to have: the best time of your life" And with that the skinny man disappeared in a swirl of pulsing temporal vortex. The wee boy held his damaged glasses in front of his face as the wormhole blinked out of existence. That was unexpected, he thought. And pretty unlikely. Then he turned his attention back to the sellotape and the glasses. "The Creature from the Pit" Part Two was on later. He needed to be ready.

As some of you know, the first of the Doctor Who two-part special, The End of Time, aired Christmas Day in the UK on BBC One and on December 26th here in the US. Some people have posted their reaction to the first part already. These last two episodes marks the end of David Tennant's run as The Doctor, making way for Eleven (played by Matt Smith). Smith has really big shoes to fill. Not only was David's Ten listed as the most popular Doctor(beating out long-time favourite Tom Baker), he's also the sexiest, as listed by a British poll.

My review of the specials will be posted after watching part two. Why you may ask? Simple, I want to get the whole picture RTD was trying to paint out. But I will say this, part one had very touching moments and a few wtf ones as well..

Tragedy in Hollywood

Actress Brittany Murphy passed away unexpectedly Sunday , December 20th, 2009 of an apparent heart attack.
She was 32 years old..

Murphy got her break as Taj in the 1995 movie, 'Clueless'. She has also appeared in 'Uptown Girls', '8 Mile', 'Sin City', 'The Groomsmen', 'Little Black Book', 'Just Married', 'Riding In Cars With Boys', 'Girl Interrupted', and a host of other films and television shows. She was also the voice of Luanne on Fox's 'King Of The Hill' and Gloria in the 2006 animated film, 'Happy Feet'; in which she also provided the singing voice.

At the time of her passing, Brittany had three movies in post production and two in pre-production.

I remember seeing her in Clueless and I thought she was hilarious as Tai, the skater-weed head tuned pet project of Cher and Dionne. She seemed real in her portrayal and in other films. As with the business, she slimmed down and at only 5'5", she looked tiny. When I was a teen, I looked up to a lot of young Hollywood actors because they were in my age group, good at their craft and making a name for themselves. Although we had different backgrounds, I saw her as someone who I could identify with.

Now let me state this.. When a young person dies, people want to know why. What shocked me was the vast amount of people via Twitter stating she died because of drugs or whatnot. I'm not saying if she did or didn't. I wouldn't know and you don't either. So far, the Los Angeles Coroner is stating natural causes. Personally, I think the Hollywood Ideal (you must be this small to be a successful actress) had something to do with it and her health was probably suffering. She quite possibly had other health issues as well. We do not know. But I will say this, young people die every day of heart attacks. Youth has nothing to do with it. We put a lot of stress on our bodies (women especially) to fit molds, gain acceptance, work, live, etc. that it can have a devastating affect on not only our psyches, but out bodies as well. I say let her rest in peace and leave the speculations in the trash! We have an economy, jobs, health-care, etc. to worry about.

My heart and condolences go out to her mother and her husband, her friends, and those who knew her best.

Rest In Peace Brittany... Tell Jonathan I said hi. :)

Aaah... Ok, Now that New Moon is hours away from being released, I thought it would be great to show the trailer for Rob's other film, Remember Me. As we all know, this film was made during the summer of 2009 while Rob was on break from the Twilight franchise. Also produced by Summit, Remember Me seems to be a coming of age/love story, but with a lot of grit and heart. Plus, Pierce Brosnan is also in the film.. Double Win!!!

It seems like the world just cannot get enough of Mr. Pattinson. The 23 year old is on a rise and it doesn't seem like his star will diminish any time soon. In the December edition of 'Vanity Fair', There is a beautiful editorial and interview with Pattinson and some of his costars from the series. Below are some of the VF outtakes.

Space for Rent

Have you even given someone space in your life, only to have them take up residence when they know it is only temporary? You have called yourself putting the 'space' up for rent, cleaning house, making sure things are well for them and losing yourself along the way? Did you ever wonder why you let them take up occupancy knowing they wouldn't let you reside? What am I talking about you may ask? I am talking about the space in your heart.

I recently saw a pic of someone I knew and their significant other and it pained me afterward. Was I happy for that person, yes. Was I upset, quite frankly yes. It hurt like a thousand needles sticking me in my backside, injecting their poison into my bloodstream. It affected me so bad that I could not sleep all night. It made me wonder why... Why had it affected me so. Then I realized that I had not 'cleaned house' so to speak with that person.

There are things I know about this person that his wife would probably be upset about; might even be grounds for divorce.. Dirty little things that will not come from my lips and be shown the light of day. But I digress. It was over years ago and of course we both have moved on. But, what probably upset me so is that I wish the 'spaces' in my heart would close.

It is not easy. It is not easy when you have feelings that are not reciprocated and what is left in that space is hurt, anger and most of all, an empty hole. There is another person who I cannot seem to let go. Despite this person being evil towards me and wishing my demise, I still let him rent space here. Why? I have no clue. Maybe it is because I still care but, I know it is not worth it. I could be dying (God Forbid) and this person still would not give a rat's ass.

Another person I let rent space has a huge chunk of Reject real estate. I hear the 'I miss you', "I care about you', blah blah mess but the actions do not fit the words. I keep wondering to myself why! Why the flying fuck do I keep renting out spaces to those unworthy of me? Am I that twisted and masochistic that I allow these things to occur subliminally?

To answer my own question.. Probably yes. I let those I know will never reciprocate the feelings I have inside and granted them access to the most important thing I have.. My heart.

So to you, my readers.. don't let unworthy people take up space in your heart. Clean house with those there and if they are not worthy of you, let them go. It is easier said than done; yes I know. But in the long run, it will be better for you and you won't have to be like me.. Staring at a picture and hurting inside.

Well, someone saw Sorority Row and filmed the second New Moon trailer. And because they are such huge fans, they posted it on YouTube for all the world to see! *does happy dance*I must say, this looks like it is going to be much better than Twilight (THANK GOD!!). Heck, even some of the acting from the first cast looks improved. But wtf is with Alice looking like an old woman..wait, she is like old enough to be Bella's grandmother... CGI wolves ooooh! But, I really cannot wait to see Michael Sheen as Aro; not to mention those oh so smexy Wolf Pack..*thud*

.....The day the World Trade Centers fell?

Tomorrow is the eight year anniversary of the day our modern world stood still. The day people from all walks of life perished. Commonly referred to as 9/11, September 11th, 2001, to quote Franklin D. Roosevelt, is "the date that will live in infamy". I use this quote because this was my generation's Pearl Harbor. My great uncle fought in World War II. I remember stories he used to tell us of those times. Both he and my grandfather could remember exactly what they were doing when the news came across the radio announcing Japanese armies had struck. On that day, lives were unnecessarily ended to prove a point to our nation that we are not indestructible; that we are not mighty and that we too like the Berlin wall, can fall.

The horrible events of that day will forever live in our minds and have changed the world as we know it. We have colored terror alerts and the infamous Privacy Act which gives the government the right to spy on our citizens. We also have increased security measures at airports (although, I do not like looking at stranger's ugly toes while going through the security gates).

Our lives have changed but has the way we think changed as well? What did the attacks on the Trade Center and the Pentagon teach us? What did those brave people who risked their lives teach us trying to prevent another airplane from striking another place? We live in an era when the mere utterance of disapproval sends the government running. We also saw an outporing of solidarity from all Americans, breaking color walls down; even if it was for a short period. But we also saw our nation's first minority President elected last year. Progress is slow, but some is better than none.

But, as the years went on, things, in my opinion, went back to normal...

What was I doing that day? Getting ready to leave the house. I was watching the Today show when the coverage of the plane hitting the first tower was shown. I saw, as many others did that morning, the second plane hit the 2nd tower. When I first heard about it, I thought it was an accident. A plane went off course and had a dreadful accident. But when the second tower was hit, I knew this was no mere coincidence. I called my mother and she was told like everyone else, to evacuate downtown Chicago. I then tried to call my friend in NYC to see if her family was ok. Calling out of NYC was easier than calling in.

I also knew her brother and sister-in-law worked in the Trade Centers as well. My prayers went out to her and them. And when the news came out, we all cried for those lost.

So I ask you,

What were you doing that fateful day? How has it changed you?

100Monkeys Show Review

I know I am behind on postings, so bear with me:)

I went to see 100Monkeys at Lucky Strike last month and all I can say is AMAZING! This topped off what was an already awesome weekend. My friend Lisa and I also attened the Barnes & Noble autograph signing in Novi, MI earlier that day (see this post for pics from meeting the guys).

So, after waiting in the rain and heat, we were allowed inside to cool off and eat, then re-line up back outside to enter the upstairs. Opening up for the guys were The Stevedores and Drew & the Medicinal Pen. Both bands were awesome, especially The Stevedores. 100Monkey man Ben Johnson did double duty that weekend. Not only playing with 100Monkeys, but also with The Stevedores. I developed a new respect for this man!!

I got a chance to speak with Ben G. for a bit and totally the coolest guy ever..*fist bumps*

The guys performance sans Jackson was amazing. A totally unique and different energy. Also, we heard more of Jerad singing 'Thank You' and since Ben J was pulling double duty, the audience sang 'The Monkey Song' and 'Twenty To One' (both songs by Spencer Bell :). The night before, Ben G forgot a verse from 'Twenty To One', so when asked should he sing it, I yelled out, "NO!" lmao. Needless to say all eyes were on a ducking me!

My feet are still slightly traumatized by an attack from Dan Graupner aka Orson Brawl (he apologized this past week! I love ya DAN! :) ).

The funniest moment of the show, an improv song called 'Pineapples and Love Apples'.. But I swore I heard 'cum' apples.. ROTFLMAO!

Overall it was an awesome show! I do hope to see them again with Jackson soon . Oh and btw, Uncle Larry is a vessel of awesomeness!

Jerad's cool too, but um yeah I can't travel like that! lol

The Power of Social Networking

As some already know, I'm on Twitter.

But before Twitter, I was on Myspace. Before Myspace, I was on Facebook. The thing I love most about social networking sites is that I can re-connect with friends I've lost touch with throughout the years. Case in point, friends of mine I hadn't seen since Kevin Richardson was a Backstreet boy, found me on FB & Myspace! Cool huh. Then there are those I went to high school with and college. A few exes too lol. But, connecting with these people made me remember all the good times had. Although some memories form h.s. they can keep.. lol

Not to mention new friends I met throughout my travels and other things. I think social networking has its advantages. And a crap load of disadvantages. Like I don't want to be followed by spammers and porn bots on Twitter, so I block. Perverted men on Myspace... I reject their friend request. People on my Fb I only accept if we have:

Mutual friends
Met in person before
Have a common interest
Networking/Jobs
I knew them from a previous life.. lol

As of right now, I have a nice group of people I keep in contact with. And as my interest grow, so does the list.

We are less than 90 days away from the release of New Moon and with Eclipse being filmed, the frenzy has not died down. And judging from all the pap pics I've seen recently, it is getting hot in Vancouver!

No not sexually.. (although Robsten lovers would LOVE that!)

Set stalking has resumed and Twitter is a blaze with set pics and cast locals. I wonder do these gals ever quit (the stalking ones)?

Did I mention I met some awesome people last month in Michigan? Did I also mention I met 100Monkeys as well (sans J-Action)? Did I mention that I rock socks? LOL Did I also mention that Lucky Strike has an awesome club area?? OOOOOOh!

Roadtrip & Spencer Bell Legacy Show

Let me first start off by saying a huge thank you to my friend Lisa for helping me have a fucktastic weekend! Second, to my Monkey Ladies & new friends, it was a pleasure meeting you, hanging out, hiding orange juice, cracking jokes and just being our awesome selves!

Now, as a few know, I was in Michigan this weekend to attend the Spencer Bell Legacy Show at Callahan's. Specer was a gifted musician who passed away from Adrenal Cancer in 2006. Do check out the Legacy site But I won't start with the show.. LOL It starts with the drive. Lisa arrives at my house around 2:30 CST. Not any fault of her own. she was caught in Chicago traffic (1 hour to drive 15 mph)! We made our way to the expressway/interstate and actually made it to the Michigan border in an hour and a half. It was the drive through Michigan that took so long.
While going thru Indiana, I saw many nice sights...

As we made our way through Michigan, I tried to take more pictures, despite being a bit nauseated from the RedBull and PowerAde I was consuming...lol

We arrive at the hotel about 30 min later. After we arrived, Kristin came to greet us..But then stole Megs away.. Kidnapper! LOL j/k Later on, we met up with Jess, Nikki, Vicky, Jeanette and Elexses (this woman rocks!!) tossed back a few & watched cops encircle the Courtyard three times before heading to bed. Now, as Ive been told, I apparently take too long getting ready. lol. But after the crew got food and made it back to the hotel, I was ready to go! Now.. On to the shows! The first show was a bit crowded and hot! My hair went from fab to fluff lol. But I still rocked out. A few of us stepped outside for a smoke when lo and behold..We see a Monkey! We call Jerad over to take a pic with us. Not even 6 minutes later, Ben G comes out! We call him over and yes, another group shot!

Us lovely ladies again, this time with Jerad. Elexses' pose is gangsta! LOL

So we go back inside and watch the show! The line up was Drew and the Medicinal Pen (still learning how to make my pen medicinal), The Stevedores, Tin Tin Can, & of course 100Monkeys! Unfortunately for some girls who were in attendance, Jackson was in Vancouver and unable to make it (I heard alot of fan girl hearts breaking that afternoon).That didn't matter to me. I came all that way to support a cause and see what I knew would be an awesome show.

The show kicks off with a letter read by Spencer's dad, Mr. Bill Bell, from the German/French Spencer Bell Memorial site. And then after announcing a raffle, the show begins. Up first Drew & the Medicinal Pen. They grew on me.. Then up was The Stevedores. This band also included Ben J from 100Monkeys and let me say that this man is awesome! Then Tin Tin Can who are from my neck of the woods! It was awesome to see such talented people come together!

D.i.v.a.(not much anymore), Cams(very few use this & ya need permission lol), The Reject & the 'illustrious' Gallie. I like Gallie. It is up there with D.I.V.A in a sense. It stands for something. Something.. I think, besides Gallifrey..But this post is about names. We name our children names in the hopes that they fit; but do they? My birth name would have been Sara (thank GOD she didn't chooses Hall & Oats). I don't feel like a Sara.. Heck, I don't feel like a Camille. It is funny. My name is a classic & timeless one and people somehow still find a way to fucker it up (i.e. Ca-millie. camillay..) err..!
Sometimes I wonder about our educational system, then I see how they mess up a seven letter proper noun..

I tend to think of myself as easy going, social, an original aka being me; but one thing that pisses me off is not giving credit where it is due. I detest people who are unoriginal. People who have to copy ideas (known ideas I might add) and try to pass them off as their own. You know the type. The ones who are copy cats! Original thought to those people are few and far between. I am a creative person in my own right & I respect other's creativity... But to pass something off as your own, without giving credit where it is due is despicable in my eyes. It is plagiarism to a degree. This isn't the first time in this case. Why not ask if it is ok to use the idea? Maybe if it was posed to me, then I would not be a pissed bitch right now.

I have no problem hurting feelings when I feel I'm wronged. Like a lioness protecting her cubs, I am fierce when it comes to loyalty and what is mine. My ideas, my creative process..Mine! And when people steal it, it offends me in the most hurtful way.

Advertising Fail WTF

So I'm browsing around and I find this commercial on YouTube. It shows African American women in a salon and one is getting a weave.. My question is..Why just Black Women?

Why not show our Caucasian/Hispanic/Asian counterparts getting 'weaved up'(and we all know they do)? Simple.. They don't want to. I was appalled actually. This was aimed at African Americans(Iguess trying to reach theirt 'target audience'. To me, it promotes negative stereotypes that all BW wear weaves and have major attitudes. I find it funny that in this world where it is acceptable for non-BW to enhance their features (rhinoplasty, tanning, breast augmentation, etc.), that BW cannot do the same. Don't get me wrong, I love to change my style as much as the next woman, but seriously..Why not incorporate other ethnicities? This is an advertising FAIL!

The Week In Review

This is the week(or weeks) in review!

Last week, geekdom reached popular high lever as the 2009 Comic-Con was the place to be! Fans of Twilight saw more clips from this winter's New Moon. And I must say, it looks quite promising. I will say that I was not a fan of Chris Weitz after seeing The Golden Compass but, my opinion is slowly changing.

Also on tap was The Doctor Who panel *sighs*. This panel included David Tennant, Eros Flynn, Julie Gardner and Russel T. Davies. I have a lot of respect for Russel and the crew. They revised and continued the story about a 900 year olf time lord from Gallifrey and brought the show back in a huge way. I am also saddened because this is David's final series as The Doctor, and according to reviews of the snippet shown for The End Of Time, it's going to be one hell of a send off!!

Fans also got to see previews of upcoming films such as Jonas Hex and The Book of Eli. Personally speaking, I'm looking forward to seeing The Book of Eli. :)

I also saw the interview clips from the New Moon panel and of course, I am wondering why doesn't Summit get Kstew some interviewing lessons! When I was in college, they made us take interviewing lessons so that we would be prepared for job interviews. Back in Hollywood's hey days(before actors could negotiate their own contracts & were the property of the studios), they prepared their stars for interviews. And as usual, Kstew comes off as a snobbish, un-interested bitch!

Seriously!! We all know she's been filming The Runaways with Joan Jett looming over her with detailed intimidation over her shoulder but, that is no excuse to come off so uncouth during interviews! This isn't the first time I picked up on this and as we can see, it won't be the last.
I'm all for sarcasm and humor! Seriously, I am.. But if I am running press for a movie(regardless of the built-in fan base), I am still going to be excited and glad my behind is even a part of the franchise....

Speaking of franchise heart-break...

There has been a lot of upset this week as we learned that Rachelle Leferve has been replaced.

And who takes her place???

Former M. Night muse, Bryce Dallas Howard. BDH is the daughter of Opie Taylor/Richie Cunningham/Cocoon man/Award winning A-List director, Ron Howard. Personally, I think this is a foul move on the part of Summit.

From what I gather, Summit knew before-hand of Rachelle having a 10 week shoot in Europe for another movie. I cannot see how this would be a problem, especially since schedules were worked around for Cam Gigandet & Elizabeth Reaser. I think Eclipse director David Slade had some input on the departure. The sad thing is that this is very reminiscent of when they were going to recast Jacob Black... But the fans prevailed and Taylor is STILL Jacob Black. Personally, I couldn't see anyone else as him..(Sorry Michael :( ).

And this goes the same for the character Victoria. I could'nt see the character being portrayed by anyone else. When the original Albus Dumbledoor from Harry Potter passed away, they HAD to recast. But in this situation, it is about money and a name...

...A name to bring some sort of celebrity presence to Eclipse. Even if that name only fits the character's red hair....

As many fans know, Rachelle has been one of the most beloved cast members from the series. She is, from what I was told, is very gracious and kind to the Twilight fans. She knows that without the built-in fan base, they would'nt have made it past the first movie. Even her tweets on Twitter are nice!!

It is a major blow for the fans.. But, has Stephenie Meyer weighed in her opinion of the recast? We shall see..

Whose Your Caddy, Daddy?

So, I'm up late cause of my wicked insomnia and I ended up watching 'Whose Your Caddy?'. This movie stars Sherrie Sheppard(The View), Big Boi (Outkast, Idlewilde) and that weird guy from Ferris Bueller's Day Off(you know, the teacher who Jennifer Grey maced..). So, as I get past the part about the lawyer sent to the guy to bribe him so he won't join the all male/all Caucasian club and guess who I spy???

Twilight dead hunk(James)/DILF...Cam Gigandet!! lol

A bit skinner and playing golf! I saw the movie before and though ooh he's hot.. This was before Twilight of course. And so I just had to blog about this cause it's totally funny. The movie isn't really funny, but it has moments. I'd reccommend Good Luck Chuck and Knocked Up. That was actually not too bad. LOL

But anywhoo, if you have satellite or cable, check out The Movie Channel (Showtimes sister channel) On Demand and watch it.. Cam doesn't show up until about 25-30 minutes into the movie :)

Also, for my 100Monkey fans, I also saw Bratz..*rolls eyes* OMG that movie was CRAP! Seriously, I get the whole friends theme, but really.. This movie is for girls under 13 who have those big headed dolls! I'd rather watch HSM3 again....But as I was about to say, 100Monkeys member Jerad Anderson plays a jock in the film. I was cracking up laughing because he has this goofy look on his face as his character gets a C+ after being tutored by one of the Bratz girls. Hehe..

That's the insomnia round up..lol

I Wonder, Wonder Who....

You all are probably wondering why the lack of Rob/Kstew coverage regarding their other projects... Well, it is because it isn't really anything new or different that I can post as of late. And I refuse to post gossip! Everyone in the fandom has been posting pics and things and almost really look the same. So in my infinite wisdom (laughs), I decided not to post. But I have been working on other projects so do stay tuned!

But in other news, I'm planning a trip to MI! Since I am not able to start my classes at AADA (which btw started today :( ), I am road tripping it!

On August 15th, I will be attending the Spencer Bell Legacy show in Aurburn Hills, MI. Bands include Tin Tin Can, The Stevedores and 100Monkeys! There are two shows that day. An all ages at 2pm and 21+ at 7pm. Tickets are on sale now at Callahans.

Am I excited, yes!

I also get to see my peeps and hang out for which is sure to be a fucktastic event!

I love spreading the word about Spencer and his music! He left such a impact on those who knew him and his music is just awesome! Spencer passed away in 2006 from Adrenal Cancer. This cancer is rare, but with help, we can find a way to beat it down! It is very deadly and once caught, the survival rate is slim, and there is very little awareness regarding this aggressive form of cancer.

So tonight I watched the BET awards and for the most part, its was a hot GHETTO MESS!!! I guess class education doesn't exist anymore.. And this is why I don't watch BET anyway.. But tonight, I wanted to see how they would remember The King of Pop, the Late Michael Jackson. I give credit to Jamie Foxx for doing the best he could with such a disjointed mess. But, I liked a few of the performances.

Now here are the few moments I liked:

Show opening of New Edition doing a Jackson 5 medley. Seeing how if it wasn't for J5, New Edition, NKOTB, the Osmonds, BSB, NSync, etc. would not exist. It was nice seeing that.

Ne-yo singing 'The Lady In My Life'

Beyonce's rendition of 'Ave Maria/ Arms of The Angel'
(the latter has a special memory for me and 'Ave Maria' always pulls my heart)

Ciara singing 'Heal The World'

They also showed snippets from previous concerts and his last appearance with the Godfather of Soul, the Late James Brown.

I think maybe later a better tribute might be done.. Who knows. I hope so!

I think for the rush job it was, it had good moments. It focused on his achievements, his contribution to African-American history and culture, and his humanitarian contributions. During these last few days since his passing, the media and others have focused on his short comings, his eccentric behavior, his surgeries, and that mess of a trial.

It amazes me how ignorant people are when they do not know the facts.

Lets see, he had his first nose job after falling and breaking his nose on stage, not to mention the constant ridicule from his father. He suffered from Vitilligo, which is a skin disorder common in African Americans, so in order not to come outside in a heavy pancaked mess, he chose to fix it. And his eccentric behavior, PUHLEEZE!!! Everyone has their quirks and weird things about themselves. Don't act like you don't.. Glass houses...

In regards to the child molestation charges, the man was aquitted. Let it go! Mind you, noone has heard a peep from his accusors since the trial and crap. (even with being told to keep quiet, people still speak!) Especially those who profited from it. I think if someone was molested, they would be an advocate for child abuse. You didn't see that from those people and you never will...

This is a time to remember his contribution to popular culture, entertainment and history! He changed the way MTV played African-American artist, he broke Guiness book records, he contributed to over 30 charities, he helped raise funds for Africa and 9/11 families (I guess people forget those things), and he also brought people together from all backgrounds. He was also a son, a brother, and a father who will be missed not just this weekend, but forever.

I have a feeling he was greeted warmly in his next life and he is at some sort of peace.

It upsets me, and this goes for anyone, that people would make a mockery of someone's death so soon..

Its not kind to mock the dead...

The world was shocked, saddened and heart-broken to hear that legendary music icon, Michael Jackson, passed away....

At 12:20 PM PST, Michael was rushed to UCLA Medical Hospital after being found unresponsive at his LA home..

Two hours later, the sad news was released..

My condolences to his children, his parents, Katherine and Joe, his brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Tito, Marlon, Randy, his sisters Maureen, Latoya and Janet; along with nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends.

NY Examiner Gabrielle Long had the pleasure of sitting down with Jackson for an interview recently. In this interview, Jackson mentions his type of girl, what he goes for and what is a huge no-no in his book (married/attached women need NOT apply!

Here is a snippet from the interview:

On qualities he looks for:

I look for a woman with a sincere smile and a love of the arts. I love being able to go out on crazy dates, like breaking into zoos after hours, so a woman who has a sense of adventure...

but I also love a calm night of jamming on a beach at midnight with a bonfire, whiskey, and friends... so a woman who can hang in any situation and not get too clingy if I'm playing some music and spending time with my friends and family.

On worst dating advice:

"Say whatever she wants to hear." I forgot who told me that, but it's complete bull-shenanigans. Trying to be what she wants is a terrible idea.

On deal-breakers:

: If a girl is involved with another guy. I don't believe in the ideology of "if it's a different area code, it's not cheating," I think that's more of an "idiot-ology."

Too many times I've been hit on by a woman with a ring (engagement and/or wedding), and it disgusts me, to be frank. Even if a woman has a boyfriend she is about to break up with... to me, it's wrong. I won't even consider flirting with a woman unless she is completely single.

After reading the interview, it is OBVIOUS why women of ALL ages love Jackson! He is sweet, down-to earth and has qualities we wish our significant others possessed. And I must admit, I like this guy more and more each interview I read.

Yes, me! Sucks doesn't it. Today I was supposed to see my mom sing with her choir, but alas, I am at home.. Why, because my ginormous arse can't fit anything! You are prolly going ok, and, so lose the damn weight fat ass! Easier said than done shithead! Do you know how hard it is to lose weight? I thyink I've done everything besides being cut open and crap! The funny thing was I've lost weight before.. And I felt really good about myself.. I felt I accomplished something. Now its like oh fuck! The bad thing is motivation.. I need it! I need to be told daily to get off my ass and work out.. But how? I do it daily..Tell myself to do it and next thing you know, nada..

So, I want you to tell me how do YOU get motivated to achieve a goal? It could be anything from losing weight to, say meeting someone. So yes..comment below! Cause a sistah need some help!l

A Hell Of Their Own Making...

As some may know, I was in a play last night called, A Hell Of Their Own Making, which was part of the 24 Hour Plays Chicago. The concept of the 24hr play is to create, cast, rehearse and perform a play in 24 hours! No easy feat for some! This idea was first done in New York and was met with success. My character was a demon..lol It was an interesting experience! I would like to thank all who sent their well wishes, good karma, energy and stuff to me! It helped bunches!!

Now..If Only I can get my beloved Monkeys to Chicago... hmm....

Seeing how my modem died on me Sunday morning, I was not aware I was a winner on The Twilight Sisterhood.. (thank you Nessa :) ) Especially since it used my other email address lol. So yeah it was a huge shock!

Also, I saw a lot of the 100Monkeys clips from their shows over the weekend..Good job guys! Now hurry your keisters to the Windy City..lol

Seems there is some debate over who should play the late Jeff Buckley... My vote will be with James Franco.. He closely resembles my musical soul-mate than any of the contenders..Although, Rob's voice has some strong similarities..

The one thing I'm dreading is writing my letter of decline to AADA. It pains me to write it & that's why I haven't as of yet. This economy really bites in more ways than one. But, when one door closes..as they say.

I also have to mention some awesome people I've met. They know who they are! I tend to think of myself as a good judge of character..Just don't prove me wrong..

Anywhoo, things are looking up in other areas and that is what is important to me.. My career, my familia y mi vida :)

You are probably wondering why I'm saying this..

As an up and coming person in my field, there is ONE thing professionals do not tolerate... UN-PROFESSIONALISM!! You DO NOT call a casting agency asking about casting if they have NOT contacted YOU! That is the way it is! Only agents can call them. The only way to submit headshots and resumes is via snail mail.. Or your agent..

Well, those lovely die-hard Twi-hards, once it was out that Eclipse was casting, decided to flood the LA casting office handling the auditions with calls!! YOU DON'T BLOODY DO THAT! And thanks to those enormous amounts of individuals, people like me with no agent who love the business and see it as an opportunity, now have to find another means of gaining an aufition. Yes the info was posted about it, but it was also sated that NO PHONE CALLS!

That to me is not only unprofessional, but stupid and completely RUDE!

You want to be a part of the franchise, ok sure..I understand that. A lot of people do. It would be a career boost.. An epic opportunity that looks great on an actor's resume. Or just to say you were in the film.. But I know why many did it..To get close to the cast! Go to convention, set stalk for all I care. Hang out infront of the hotel and shit.. Be a bloody extra! But don't fuck up opportunites for the rest of us who love acting and who want in the business so bad it bleeds.

Yeah there are other ways of maybe getting an audition for some role in the film, but SERIOUSLY! If you knew how hard it was for actors go get in film, you would'nt have been such a jackass in your dealings. You idiots made an epic fail of massive porportions!

Now I'm not knocking the bloggers who posted that the casting had begun.. No.. Not that..That was posted on E! But not the contact info.. This is for those idiots who were so nice to get the info from a certain resource and act completely stupid without thinking..Or reading!

So if I lose Twitter follwers or readers, I don't care. This career..its my life..My dream(although my dream will continue regardless) and I don't tolerate stupidity and unprofessionalism!!

MTV Movie Awards Recap and Review

Unless you were living under a rock, or in another country..The MTV Movie Awards were last night..And it was interesting...

Anyone and everyone knew Twilight was going to take it all.. Well almost..lol

Myself and others were Twittering during the live event and when the results were announced, lets just say, I was VERY vocal!

We also saw the first trailer for New Moon(i have it posted HERE), scenes from Transformers 2 and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

For one, I was disappointed that the Best Villain award was not presented live; which totally irked me! Yes, Heath Ledger got it posthumously, but still a public acknowledgment by the fans would've been nice!

Best Female Performance...EXCUSE ME! This is how I KNOW the Twilight fans voted their socks off! How the hell can you say Kstew was the best actress beating out Taraji P. Henson..HELLO!! She was much better as Benjamin Button's surrogate mother! An outrage!!!

Andy Sandberg (I LOVE HIM!!) was hilarious in the beginning and he did well with his hosting!

The WTF moment of the night, Sasha Baron-Cohen aka Bruno, landing arse first into Eminem's face! That was CLASSIC!! Staged or no, it was still the best WTF moment of the night.

Forest Whitaker singing D**k in a Box.. LMFAO!

Rob talking about something coming out of his pants..Um yeah.. the shirt!! lol

The kiss that all Robsten fans wanted to see, never occurred! It looked like Rob was so into kissing her publicly and Kstew just looked um..like she wanted to hurl! Arms crossed.. Also, did anyone notice how far apart Rob and Kstew were that night? The only time they were sitting together was for the Best Kiss award.. Adding more fuel to the fire of Robsten gossip.

Ben Stiller getting the Generation Award.. NICE!! I love Ben Stiller! The whole Oscar parody was funny. Kiefer breaking down was silly lol.

Oh lest we not forget Kstew's epic fail of major proportions! I loved it! Clumsy chick dropping stuff.. hahaha!

Oh and for those who were wondering... Jackson was NOT at the awards.

Cam Gigandet- One Word.. HOT! If he didn't have a GF already..lol
Kstew *fashionFAIL* Her dress looked like she pulled it from a bottom of a shredder bin. And the sneakers? *shakes head*
Ashley Greene- NICE! Very classic and beautiful dress! She looked lovely! Her dress complimented her shape and the hair was classic. KUDOS!
Rob Pattinson--err... Seriously! Did he totally take his clothes straight from the suitcase? A steam iron works wonders dude... STYLIST FAIL!!
Taylor akak Taytay- Good job. Nothing more to say.
Peter Facinelli- YES! although, I would've loved the jacket to be a bit longer over the torso..But still looking very nice!
Kellan Lutz- You can take the boy out the midwest..But you can't take the midwest out the boy. I think he borrowed Jackson's hat. Still nice!
Miley Cyrus- I loved that dress! Bad color, but very nice! IM ON A BOAT YO! lol
Ashley Tisdale (from HSM3) looking adoreable! Darker hair, not so overprocessed.. and cute outfit..
Vanessa Hudgens--Um a bit over dressed.. but cute..
Zac Efron- Yeah.. Clean, classic and well cut..
Christian Serrantos- Gorgeous! The dress was a good cut for her tiny figure and the color was complementing.
Megan Fox- WTF was with the oil slick? Looked like she stole one of Dita Von Teese's dresses..

Don't make your boyfriend dress like your co-star...
Don't let your BFF rat you and your co-workers EVERY appearance out to the gossip rags..

If you follow these rules, you could be like the next Natalie Portman ..Not the next Lindsey Lohan....

Advice for Jackson's Next Role...

4TNZ has some advice for J on his reported new role as Norwegian death rocker and former inmate, Varg Vikernes (as of 22nd of May 2009 he was released on parole).

4TNZ offers these suggestions:

- Has dyed blonde hair for Twilight. How 'bout jet black?

- Usually wears a nice suit while performing with his band 100 Monkeys. Rip that baby up and stick on some spikes!

- Teeth are his only weapon in Twilight. Gonna have to get his hands on one of those spiked clubs.

A little background info on Varg. He is a black metal musician, a writer of German neo-paganism, a far-right political activist and church bomber (yeah not on my top listening list). He was imprisoned for murdering Oystein Aarseth and burning three Christian churches in 1993. Varg is also a racist and a facist but is denouncing his English translation of his manifesto,Vargsmal ( Speech of the Varg) saying that "Vargsmal was written in anger, while I was young and in isolation, and the book is marked by this". Lords of Chaos will be the basis of the movie.

This role would make Jackson draw from somewhere deep and hateful..It will be one of those roles that will shake a lot of his fans to their core. Scary isn't it.. *shudders* But what about J? Do you think he will be able to handle such a role? Personally, I think so. As long as he doesn't get absorbed in that way of thinking.. Some actors are known to deeply immerse themselves into roles.. And sometimes a part of it sticks with them.. Lets hope that this role doesn't make a mental sticky note in J's head.
